Default DVC questions...

i have an mtx 8302 amp..it runs around 400-425x1...and i want to hook up my 12' subs to it..right now they're wired series w/ a 4ohm load...will my amp hurt my subs..my subs are 300RMS and 1200 PEAK....my amp is also 4ohm stable...just wondering about the amps wattage vs the subs wattage...is it safe to push it with this amp..???

Does the amp do 400-425 at 4 ohms? Your subs and amp should be fine if you keep it wired at 4 ohms, but you might not get the most power there.

If your subs hit hard as hell at 4ohms, don't bother messing with it. Your amp runs cooler at 4 ohms. Also, I am not sure if your MTX is capable of handling a 1 ohm load, you might want to check up on that before wiring the subs differently. Also, I am pretty sure that if you wire them parallel instead of a series it will be a 2ohm load instead of 1, which I think your amp is stable at.
