I have a 95 H22 VTEC

A lot of miles on the car, but the bottom end is rebuilt. I'ts pretty much stock except for KYB shock. I've gotten it service. cap/rotor/plugs, new clutchmaster/slave cylinder, new clutch/flywheel/throwout bearing/air filter/PVC/oil change/timing belt changed/new axles/CV-Boots. Plus I cleaned out the IAC screen last weekend.

I have two main issues.
1) there is a slight hesistation in 2nd gear, but in no other gear, around 2500-3000 rpm
2) My idle is still rough around 750 rpm.

oh yeah we never finished talking about that... so does the prelude react well with aftermarket wires or are new stock wires better??
i still havent gotten time to get a new fuel filter either.....thats this weekends plans, so ill let you know if that helped any

 

coo, I was thinking it was maybe a fuel pump/fuel filter issue, but why only second gear?????

Also I still can't figure out this idle issue.

 

mine only does it......well i only notice ....it in first and second....and only Sometimes on the first run through the gears since its been started

 

I also checked my compression all around 211

 

I've done everything mentioned here

fuel filter
plug wires
plugs
o2 sensor
timing
cap
rotor

There might be more also, but thats all I can think of now.
