AHHHHHH!!! Another problem with my spring install
I got my old bushing out finally and I am just waiting for "IN VTEC" to send me the new one. So me and my friends decided we mine as well put the springs in for now. Well we were going to start with the left rear since the shock was already out. But the allen key whole on top is stripped. I know it is the right allen key becasue it is the same one we used a couple of days ago for the right rear shock. But it is stripped and wont hold. Is there any other way to hold the shock so we can turn the bolt?
Impact wrench may spin the nut fast enough.
I stripped my sisters rear shock bolt. The fucked up the shock trying to get it off, so now it leaks fluid.
I'm getting an impact wrench this week so hopefully it will help out!

The impact might work, but I'm assuming worst case scenario where the nut is pretty firmly gritted onto the threads.
You might wanna get a set of spring compressors onto the springs to take the tension off of them. It'll make turning the nut easier.
Hammer a bigger allen wrench into what's left of the hole.

, try that. Once the tension is off the nut it'll probably be alot easier to turn.

I have the spring compressed with compresors so it isnt putting and force on the nut.... I used pb blaster and propane to heat it up but it still isnt working.... my other shock was tought but it eventually cracked .... this one just stripped the inside of the nut

and impact gun should take it off, how much torque does the gun have and how much psi are you using? Also, if you can't get it off just cut the damn bolt off and buy a new shock at a wreck yard. good luck
