Default Port + Polish Head and an OBDII CPU

I'm about to have my head ported and polished and I was just wondering what are to do's and don't regarding this considering I have an OBDII CPU. I just don't want to throw codes and have to buy a new CPU right away. Oh and I'm about to replace the head gasket with a Mugen 2-ply. Does anyone know what type of performance increase I should see with this head gasket.

The thinner headgasket might give you another 5-7 whp due to the increase in compression. It throws off your timing a bit, so be sure to re-check that.

Regarding OBD2, I'm doubt a P&P will do anything, but the headgasket might. Let's jsut say my OBD2 car was undriveable after dyno-tuning the camgears and fuel. I've since gone OBD1 conversion and everything is fine.

Good luck.
