Integra Rs on dynos, how much at the wheel?
It's even stranger when you factor in that the 97-98s have no A/C and no rear wiper, whereas most 00-01s have both. That's like a 50-lb. savings, and the earlier ones are still slower.
What is the deal with the AEM on the GSR making 20whp!!!! DAMN

This is a 97 with 256000kms. It was my first trip to the dyno last Wednesday. This was with the engine/drivetrain back to completely stock (minus the resonator box). My car ran a 14.39 with only a flywheel. I don't think the 97s are slower...
'97 and '98 AC was an option, '98's have rear wiper, at least in the US.
I have seen '97-'98's typically at 158-165 with 114-118 torque, but from what I have seen the '00-'01 models have been dynoing HIGHER than the earlier models.
Just in the past week, two guys have dynoed at over 170/123 with stock '01's ..... yeah, it could be the dyno, it could be the car, but I have seen consistantly better numbers for the newer ones ....
My '98 was 160.8/114.7 with 2,000 miles on it.

170 is high, I've never seen it personally. It could be a strong car, or dyno, or weather, it's hard to say without all the facts.

i dont think it has anything to do with the Year of the car .. all Type-Rs have different personalitys ( thats a way of puting it ) like for example my friend has a 95 Integra LS with intake , headers and exhaust and runs consistant 14.8s-14.9s , and my other friend with same year LS and the same mods runs in the mid 15s....they were both driven be the same person in my ocations to see if it was the driver ...

A little too crazy...I thought it was more like 6-9 whp?? Anyone got a dyno plot of stock vs. AEM on a GS-R??
I hate it when I come across some punk in a Civic with an AEM and a $500 polished exhaust with a huge tip, who thinks it makes him as quick as an R. All of a sudden he has 20 more HP... (which would still put him about 50 short). I run into these guys EVERY DAMN DAY. It's getting old... [Modified by FBP_1171, 10:06 AM 6/29/2001]
al - who is sad cause his R doesnt make that kinda whp after mods even
al - who is also screwed now cause he sees yoshi and friends do this too much! and started to follow..........

I've pulled a number of 190 at the wheel out of my ***, staying NA. It has to be streetable and reliable. Is this realistic?

You know, I really don't now what I've had done maintenance wise. In the beginning I cared, but by the end I'd just go to the dealer and say "do a big service" if it's been a while since I had my last one. Now I kinda care again, but I haven't done any engine stuff in ages aside from cap, rotor, wires (didn't need the wires), and fuel filter. I'm going to do a valve adjustment tomorrow maybe. Here's my latest chart:

I think 190 is relatively easy to do. Maybe a JDM R engine with cams and header? I'm not too knowledgable when it comes to that though. That sounds like it would be a pretty sweet setup though.

Just dynoed mine 2 weeks ago. It's got 15,000 and was put back to stock at the time (it's gotta go see the dealer). Out of the 15,000 about 3,000 are on the track at full abuse.
