i have a obd1 b18c1 jdm i'm at a loss to what year this engine is (so is hmotorsonline) is there any way to tell what year it is so i can start ordering some rebuild parts?

for gaskets you can use any US 94-00 GSR parts on your JDM GSR engine.
The way to tell the year of your engine is by looking at the the exhaust port area, as seen here:

But remember, most stamps on the head show the year of the car one year before it actually came out in the car itself. So you can also look at the block stamp and look at what "generation" the motor is and go from there.

so if it was stamped on the head with 93 should i look into purchasing replacement parts for a 94?

yes thats right.....
also its kinda obvious there were US B18C engine's in '93....only B16's & B17A's.
so if it was stamped on the head with 93 should i look into purchasing replacement parts for a 94?
