Default Quality Header

Who here would like to see a real quality header made for the F series motor? What type of investment would you being to make if you knew the product was top notch along with the service?

Serious answers please, who would seriously be interested?

that's kinda what I am curious as to what you guys would think?

if it is high quality and has proven gains and the R&D to back it up what would you be willing to pay honestly?

remember Spoon/Mugen etc. headers go for almost $1000

I don't know, really, I'm not even set on whether I'm slappin the F back in or going to the dark side, and it'll depend on how much the wife lets me spend before she owns me.

see, this is one of the issues that arises, a good header, especially the one I am talking about would be around $750 bucks, that's nearly half an H22

I guess that is the reality of it

just to be totally honest i wouldnt buy it for 750 i would rather do the h22 swap instead .... in my mind the header can only get you 15 hp MAX so that is just too much money for that little of a improvement .....

again i am just being honest about weither i would buy it or not and trying to give you a little feedback for your research...

So besides DC, what other good headers are there? Does Mugen make headers for a 97 Accord Ex?

I'm not sure, but I'd say max would be $500. It is probably the most important out of I/H/E, but paying close to a grand for a header seems unreasonable.

SMSP if you have an H22A. DC Sports isn't all that great, just lighter than stock. the kamikaze 4-1 is a great header, high hp gains but some low-end torque is lost due to the 4-1 setup.

i dont think i would honestly go over 500 for a header.

what kind of design are you pondering?

A Kamikaze header is about $200 less than a DC Sports header. I believe it was Nick M who said that getting a Kamikaze header, and adding a 2.5" collector would be one of the better setups on an F series.

most likely it would be a complete setup, with custom collector and piping

I guesss this is more along the lines of the real race car driver where changing motors changes your classing and in return money input

i'd be willing to pay in the $500 to $750 range if it gave some pretty decent gains. I'd want something streetable though, not one that gives 15hp in the top 500 RPMs and little or nothing anywhere else. I'd be more concerned about total area under the curve instead of peak numbers.

and why does everyone speak so poorly about the DC header? I mean what do you want for $300? it does provide some gains.

well I am speaking of a header designed to help the curve stay consistent, make crossover that much more potent and fluid
