Default Thinking of selling my integra and getting an S2000.

I currently drive a 2001 FBP Integra. I love the car, but living in southern California and not owning a convertible sucks!

I love Hondas, and think that the S2000 is a very nice looking car, but I've never driven one.

I need some feedback from S2000 owners. Should I get one? What don't you like about your car?

TIA!

i've driven one, and i own an ITR. though i don't have the experience of a pro of the s2k. i freakin love the s2000. my next car is going to be AT LEAST an s2k. it's gonna be a roadster, and the s2000 is on one of the tops.

Luckily I own both an ITR and an S2000. IMO both cars are very nice. Drive well, good power, looks good, big aftermarket following. It is a hard choise for me to deside which is "better". It all depends on what you want out of the car really. If I want to take a car and just speed down the hwy or cruz on some twisties, then both cars work well for that. The ITR is a theft concern, and I don't really take it to places I've never been or to any Mall etc. The ITR is easier to control on hard corners on the stock set up vs the S2K, but the S2K actually feels better doing it. The stearing is much tighter. The seats in the S2K keep you in place better than the ITR's. With the top up the blind spot in the S2K is wicked. It seems that the ITR gets slightly better gas milage. Aftermarket for the S2K seems slightly higher in Price for similar items on the ITR's. Sometimes it is equal. The S2K is the better day to day cruzer with the top down! Its the street legal car in the family. The S2K vs Turbo GS-R (asuming the GSR has no major internal motor work, just a bolt on turbo) the S2K will still own, with mearly intake and exhaust. It practicaly owns being stock.

Get an S2k, but be careful. RWD will own you! It owned me a few times

i don;t own an s2k, but my opinion is you can't go wrong with a powerful rwd sports car. the rwd and power alone would make the decision between the two cars a no brainer for me.

after the first test drive at my job, i knew this was the car for me. you definately need to drive it first before asking any other questions. the test drive will answer most your questions.

the only thing i dont like is how you have to access the secret compartment or glove box in the middle. you really have to twist around to get to it and its very annoying.. i don't know what honda just didn't put a glovebox right in front of where the passenger sits. but still, the s2k gets a 9.99/10 from me.

yea, I have a GSR and S2k. You'll like the s2k. Most people who never sat in one feels that the car is way too stiff for a car. Yes, that is true and thats why most people buy the s2k.

-The blind spot with the soft top can be fixed with a hardtop
-The car is somewhat low, especially if you have the factory lip.
-dont expect to fit more than a big duffle bag in the trunk.
-stock s2k stereo is bad compared to stock stereo in GSR or ITR.
-chicks dig the car.

i just got an 00 s2k with 30k on it yesterday. I love it. I owned an 00 SI and loved it but you will be amazed at how much car you get for the price tag. I highly recomend it. I am getting looks from everyone when i drive past them. As my friend put it "this thing is a ***** magnet!" Not that thats the reason you will get it but hey its a perk of the job i guess. I paid 23650 for a silver one with 30 k miles, factory front lip, factory spoiler and the red leather interior. Just get one you wont regret it.

one more thing. Upgrade the stereo ASAP. Its a pile of ****. I spent 472 for a nice panasonic head unit and polk speakers installed. It was well worth the $$$.

I sold my Integra and bought my S about a year ago. I don't have any regrets, but the car is absolutely undriveable in the winter. so depending on where you live, a second car is a must have. I bought a CRX for my winter/daily driver. I couldn't be happier with my S2000 though.

I did the same thing. Dumped my 99 integra and got an 02 S2k. Havent regretted it for a minute. But the comment about winter driving is true. YOu need at the very least a set of winter tires. I learned the hard way.

LOL. If you've ever heard a stock '00-'01 S2000 stereo, you'd know what we mean. On the freeway with the top down, forget about listening to the sound system, you won't hear anything except the wind, the road and the engine. In addition, as you're turning the volume up, it just refuses to become louder at a certain point (around halfway). It is indeed a true piece of ****.

The 02 stereo isnt THAT bad. You can def hear it with the top down at 80 mph, but it could use a little more bass.

I've actually never heard the '02-'03 systems while on the freeway, but I'm sure the tweeters help quite a bit.

I'm gonna try to keep the stock Head unit and throw in an amp, new door speakers, and one sub in the trunk. That should do it.
