Seems weird, but truth
I bought an 92 prelude Si AWS (H23) about two weeks ago for 3500 w/o seeing the car that's a lot for a 92(My family and I have a car lot), anyways, thought that the car might have something worthy on it (performance wise); sure thing the car has crower rods (not the economical), JE pistons(low compression), DC Headers, AEM cam gears, etc... The problem lies in the pistons and the sleeves, (Drum que...) THEY ARE BOTH SCRATH
. This car is going to see Nitrous (No boost) in the future, so right now I don't have any money to invest on the car; so I went with the fast cheap way to repart it, bought stock pistons and sent the block to re-sleeve in mexico (I live in the border) I spent about $180 on both
. I have no idea what type of material are the new sleeves, but they don't look like the other scratch ones. You are thinking by now, How the F@%k did the rods fit the pistons? to answer you'll machine shop, where else (drum que...) mexico
, they did a perfect job. The engine should be drop in place and running by thrusday. What are you'll opinions, and do you think (cuz this thing has a clutch masters stage 3) that the clutch will hurt performance. Sorry if I sound cocky.
