That's what I was going to say. I bought a 92 Lude with 157K mile on it. Going into this...I told myself that changing the swap was a priority. I got a really good deal on it so upgrading the swap is most cost effective.
Since my clutch is almost dead....she is getting a whole new swap. That should HOPEFULLY cut down on repair costs and inconveniences.
How much have you spent on it since you bought it?? How long have you had it??

$3K??? Man, was all that for engine compartment repairs?? WOuld an lower mileage H22 swap have been more cost effective.
Now you have me wondering about my Lude. LOL

Damn man, that sux. I don't know how many miles are on your car but if I had a 93 VTEC Lude and I lived in SoCal....I would have bought a JDM H22 swap...pulled out your current engine and tranny, swapped in the new H22 engine and trans...and then parted out your older H22 engine, tranny, and ECU. I am sure there is a higher market for H22 parts in SoCal too.
Well, I guess hindsight is 20/20 and I guess each person's situation is different. Sad to see wasted $$$ and another Lude go down.
Your story just makes me feel a lot better for deciding to take this route with my 92 Si. I have been without my Lude for a few months but I think this is the best way to go....particularly since I plan on using my Lude out on the track.

Good luck in your decision.
