Default alpine type s

what do you guys think of these subs, and how much of a difference in sound quality is there between these and the type r. And can anyone recommend a box size, i've seen the type r with about .75 to 1 cubic foot, will this work with the type s too, thanks. Oh, and do you think the new 800w pioneer amps are any good.

If you are referring to the Pioneer amps with the red light on the cover and the silly heatsinks, they are JUNK!!!

My buddy who sell car audio told me that they had to send ALL of the Pioneer amps back because of a recall. Apparently, they all blow fuses when you bridge them to a 4 ohm load.

I have set of Alpine's 10" type S subs (DVC versions). They sound just as good as the type R's in my opinion.
