s2000's and ludes
So never raced an s2000 and never really talked to someone who had one but how do they compare to each other say a 5th gen Prelude and an s2000. This isnt a who would win thread.
what do you mean how do they compair, they are kinda completely different...???
one is a RWD, two seater, convertable, with 2.0l 240hp, 6-speed
one is a FWD, fourseater, 2.2l 200\195 hp

i mean like racing or in handeling. Where one peaks over the other info. like that.
My buddy got one and was curious if a lude could hang with them in any certain points.

your 5g would probably get burned in all aspects. the s2000 has less weight to throw around with more power to throw it. to boot, it (s2000) is a rear wheel drive, meaning better turn in. <-- just to mention a couple comparo's.
i wish the lude could really compare but.. i think the only contest it wins, imo, is looks.
Anyone, feel free to disagree.

had a lude, have an s2k now... love/loved 'em both.
but no, without FI the lude can't come close in terms of straight line power, and it'll never come close in terms of handling. you also can't put the top down. on the other hand, it has a back seat.

took out my back seat haha
is there any way to use a advantage of a prelude against the s2000? As in i know the s2000 isnt the stronest car at lower rpm's...
just curious

An S2000 makes a Prelude look like crap. My dad has one and I drove it today; the S2k is more of a race bread car, where as the prelude is a people friendly every day car;
The gear box on the s2k is tight and percise, the prelude is not tight and not percise;
And lastly the S2k's chassis is more rigid, the prelude's feels mushy,
Oh and VTEC is faster on an S2k faster acceleration that is.

i mean is there any way to catch one off guard like when mustangs wanna race me they wanna take me to a lower rpm cause thats where they are powerful in the torque range as in i would wanr higher rpms for vtec....
Whenever someone says a Prelude will never beat a S2000 in handling I like to show them this pic. I just passed this S2000 when this shot was taken.
Actually I have both; my Prelude is a full racecar now and my S2000 is my daily driver. IMHO, a Prelude that is built right can handle better than a stock S2000.
