Default Failed smog :(

HC ppm
RPM = 2500 Limit: 220 Reading: 338 Fail
Idle RPM = 775 Limit: 220 Reading 536 Fail

CO%
2500 Limit: 1.20 Reading 2.89 Fail
Idle Limit: 1.20 Reading: 0.22 Pass

Those are the three things that I failed.

Basically, it's running entirely too rich and I have no idea why. I need some help.

next time you take it to get smogged do not put the air filter in the air box it makes the engine breathe better and it will pas easier .. but that isnt the only problem with your car ... looks like you need a cat and a tune up and oil change at the least ..... make sure the car is hot when you take it in for smog ... take it on the freeway or something first

just a few ideas ...

My car has 152,000 miles. I just changed the air filter and spark plugs a month ago.

Another thing you can also try to do is reset the ECU or clean out the EGR Valve,
Just a lil 411 on my behalf

You have a dead convertor. Your EGR passageways are 100% fine. Change the oil, change the cat. You should pass BUT perhaps not in 2 years if your burning/blowing oil badly.

Burning/Blowing oil will coat the converter's reaction surface and make it fail eventually. Good luck....run a search in the archives for "smog" or "emmisions" for more info on your problem.
