Full Zeal S6 review @ Thunderhill
So, today, I finally got to track my new suspension. Zeal S6's 12k/8k on SO3 pole positions. For teh first session, I set the suspension to 5 front 6 rear (6 is the stiffest). Mistake. The car felt very unsettled and unpredictable. However, the car was very stable and fairly flat. After getting the tires warmed up, the car was very sensitive to any input from the gas pedal through a turn. Too sensitive if you ask me. I felt very uneasy through turns, and the tires were beyond their friction point WAY too soon.
Then, for the rest of the day I rode on 4 front 5 rear. MUCH BETTER! After getting comfortable, I was like this.
The whole time. Wow, just... wow. This suspension ROCKS. Through the turns, neutral throttle tends to produce understeer but when I gradually easy on the throttle or let off, I begin to have a greater turn in.
. Whenever I would jump on the throttle a little bit through a turn, the car would just sling shot through the turn. The car would settle, hunker down, and it felt like I had a grapple connected to the apex pulling me around the turn. Something that, really really amazed me. Quite.. quite.. nice. Initial turn in is better, quicker, and sharper. Trail braking into a turn produces much better rotation now. Braking now feels much more settled into turns. Gasing through turns also doesn't produce understeer anymore
(as stated above).
So, here are some picture from today. I got to meet NewR, very cool. It was great talking to him and driving with him on the track. An enjoyable day. It wasn't too hot, not too cold, but juuuusst right. The only thing that kinda sucked during the day was 52 cars on the track at one time + slow drivers = massive traffic.
never seen one of these on the track before.
RANT FOR THE DAY! (for everybody that tracks their car)
1. I hate when people point you by, but still drag you to the next turn at the end of the straight.
2. High horsepower cars that suck in the turns and they think they own the track.
3. Shikanes and gates.
Okay, that's all.

Haha, didn't really see him run on the track. He was in group B, so yeah. Mad fast on the straight, slow like a ***** through the turns. I prob could take him...

Yeah! I need a new set of rims to mount them on though...

I had a great time at the track and met some really nice people especially DisorderR, his brother and his dad. Wonderful folks!!!!.
I agree that it was really crowded and hopefully I wasn't one of the "slow drivers". Man, DisordeR was FLYING!!!
DisordeR, I have a video of you infront of me on one of the sessions and also another one of your dad and brother passing me. If you guys would like to see the video, I can send it.
