Default wiring subs

I have 2 subs that have a DVC and are 2 ohms each. Now my amp is 4 ohms. I was wondering how i can wire this up.

You can't get a 4 ohm load with those subs. What amp are you using?

You can wire it at 2 ohms or .5 ohms. Is that amp 2 ohm stable?

You can wire it at 4 ohms but it isn't recommended. You would have to short out one of the voice coils on each driver. By doing this you would basically be powering 1 of the coils in each, and decrease power handling by half. DO NOT just wire one of the coils. The other must be shorted out with resistors.

am is not 2 ohm stable it is 4 ohm stable i believe....would shorting it out with resisters damage the sub itself.

I know the MTX mono amps which are rated or 2 ohms handle 1 ohm fine... don't know about the 2 channel though. Don't use resistors, that would be pointless or cause the resistors to burn up. Might just want to go grab a nice little mono amp to run your setup, almost all are 2 ohm stable
