Default Multipost: Lost my first street race, DC5R spotting again, clunking noise

I was at the light and I hear this revving noise that was pretty obvious that he was calling me out. So I had to defend myself and my Type R. He then began to blast his radio. I knew that was it. So when the light turned green, he took off and I drove on my merry way. While he thought 'what a poser', I took a mental picture of his car to see if he was going to be at the auto-x tomorrow. Then we can see who's the poser.

On the way home, I saw the same blue DC5R I saw a couple months ago. It was stock but had some gawdy sticker on the hood. Whatevers. I think that it is a 'show car' and not auto-x'd or road raced.

Whenever I accelerate then deccelerate, or vice versa, there is a clunking noise in the front right suspension or firewall. I tightened the suspension components and rear engine mount bolts and nothing. However, I did notice that the left steering rack bolt was a little loose. But after I drove it, it still made the noise. Does anyone have any advice?

If the noise is more obvious when you turn hard, it's probably your CV Joint.

But it's real hard to tell from the discription.

Good-Luck.

I had a loud clunking noise recently but, it turned out to be a wet antiswaybar bushing, not broken, just extremely wet...

Sorry can't help you.

for not falling to that guys level, kick his *** elsewhere.

That DC5R was at HIN the other week. I saw some girl driving it the whole time during the prep for the show. Didn't look like it was anything on the side of road racing or auto-x. Show kaa for sure.

to street racers

C'mon Dave, theres a bottle of funny gas between his legs in his avatar, how could you take anything he says seriously???

BTW, my wife and I eloped to Vegas and got married by Elvis.

How does that pertain do you ask... Not really just that I had this vivid memory of that shiny shirt at the banquet.

And we both Love Elvis.
