sure ****, last corner i goto (left rear) to change struts and springs, everything goes to hell:
2 LCA bolts broken. i started to drill them out however im worried that they are not being drilled out straight and dont want to damage anything. whats my best bet on getting these out and not destroying anything. i can cut the strut's bracket off, thats not a problem b/c a new strut it going into its place. however i dont want to get the thing too hot in the process of doing so else it could potentially explode (pressurized gas)
the bolt that holds the hub and arms to the LCA is my biggest worry. any tips would be greatly apreciated.

i did that same thing once. uhm why were you taking that bolt out, u dont need to, to replace your struts
when i broke one like that i welded it all up.. and left it.
also those are gonna be impossible to drill out, rip out everything. for that strut bolt i bet its siezed in the bushing. u will have to cut the bolt and put in a new bushing. i did that last week and it was an absolute bitch.

why dont you try to just get new one's.. nows a great time for rear disc converision. that rust or mud or corosionor whatever it is isnt lookin to hot. to throw a new suspension setup wouldent be that hard.

all i can say is...... use a hacksaw and cut them biaches off..... just to take the LCA off...... once they are off.... try using a drill, visegrips and tap kits to make ur way tru the hole..... BTW i did that 3 weeks on my friends 4G putting coilovers and the botls turn out to be like $4.....
personally i would cut the bolts to get the LCA off then have 2 new bushings popped in (or buy the ES master bushing kit and put those in).
that is probably the easiest way to go. drilling them of is gonna take forever.

oh yeah .... i forgot to mentioned that the bolt got seized into the bushing.... causin us to buy new bushings.... and we just had to work the bolt on the shock assembly....

i bought a smaller tap set, i thought the 1/4" one was too big to get the bolt out of there. i'll srart out small then go bigger and see where that gets me. im not worried about the bolts at all, my 88 hatch is supliing the parts
however the 88 lca is different than the 89-91. but the hardware should all be the same or at least similar. i have another 89-91 lca lined up however id like to do all i can to save this one.
this is realy shitty that this happened. my car would have been done tonight after a week of 11hr days building it from the unibody up
i greatly apreciate the suguestions.

I solved that problem on a friend car: I took a grinder and a ZIP cut blade, I got the bolt and the welded nut cuted at the bracked and I punched the bolt out with and air punch. for your other bolt, I don't know for shure what to do, maybe you can cut the bolt and try to get the last treaded part out with an EZout.
hope that help

welp, i hacksawed the bolt off @ trailing arm and cut the strut brackets out, trailing arm is hanging there w/ part of a bolt still threaded into it. i cant take the entire LCA off b/c the bolt that holds it onto the body is frozen in the bushing. im going to wind up drilling out the stuck bolt @ trailing arm, pop the strut and trailing arm bushings out and put new ones in. i think thats my best bet
