Need help deciding which Civic radiator to get.
My car is overheating; I'm buying a radiator next. Which one should I get?
I hear the PWR one has fitment problems on the 00 Civic.
I don't know how good the quality of each radiator compares with each other, especially C&R. I've only heard that PWR is better than Fluidyne, so how does C&R compare with the other two?
Thanks,
Mike

Everything fits the 00 civic OK , For the budget set up the 95 Del sol dual core . I would go with a Koyo or a C+R with a Spal fan , Then look at a lower temp thermostat. You should be OK then.

I was looking at a PWR for my D16Y8.
Did you have any fitment issues with the PWR? I know they are made for the B-series.. What radiator hoses did you use?
Thanks
Eric

He told me he used GSR hoses and had to trim the brackets for the FAL fan a little.

pwr works great for me..........fitment is not a prob. it fits great......you can also bolt the stock fan onto it if it fits in your bay.

I bought the Mugen 170 deg t-stat. In the winter when I was n/a my car couldn't get warm enought to get out of open loop.
I still have it if anyone wants it.
[edit] i have the lower temp fan switch too. From inline-4

I went with a PWR radiator. I will probably buy a thin fan from Auto Zone or something along those lines. I have not installed it yet (waiting for the new block to be put in, head work and other stuff to get finished).

We run a c&r in our race car and i they are the best quality of the three. You can also get them with a spal fan already mounted on aluminum rails welded to the radiator. That's the way to go...
All these big fat *** radiators are overkill for most people. If my LS turbo engine ran cool in Texas on a stock single core, a dual core should be more than enough for an SOHC.
But hey, if you've got money to burn, burn it! That's why they make those giant radiators
