I was in J-Town last night in SF and parked on the street i believe it was Post. Come back to my car to find that some A-Hole broke both my mirrors off. I don't see anymore damage but that. Can't people jsut leave others **** alone. I swear if I ever catch someone messing with another persons car especially mine, I'm going to beat their *** cut off their nutts and feed it to them.

Just ordered new mirrors form honda 450 after tax least they come painted already =/...

How easy is it to put the new mirrors on? anybody got a guide?

u will have to remove the door penal to put the mirror on.

 

why didnt you source some from a junkyard?

 

what about insurance??
in my area.. it will cover things like this without any penalty or negative effect on your insurance..
but the deductable is 300CAD, which is about 200US....

anyway, it should be cheaper than those 450 your purchased...

 

yea... my deductable is 250.. but i had to claim like 6 months ago and multiple claims in 6 months somtimes makes ur insurance go up more =/

about the junkyard.. I dunno a close one or wheen it's opened.. and it's illegal to drive without mirrors so I might as well get ones where I know I can junkyard might take to long not sure.

Thats kind of short sighted. You said you ordered them from honda- so it will be at least a few days before they get here..... why not get them from a junkyard in a few days and save alot of $$$?

 

i unno of a junkyard. even if I did, theres no gurantee they have them in PY and in good condition... plus I'll have them from honda on tuesday and I know they're mint

They could always be refinished.

Anyways, just trying to help you save some $$$.

 

but how much is refinishing them? and gettin gthem repainted.. and the factory paint is a lot more chip resistant than any other paint I know of... thanks... for the imput though

 

You might be able to find them if you call around in mind condition.

If not there's no reason a body shop cant refinish them to look like brand new. Youll have to call local body shops and ask, call the honda dealer and ask where they send their body/paint work to.

I'll pass on the spoons.... body shop paint isn't as chip resistant.... factory paint is always best.... i only trust 1 body shop and to repaint and refinish it there is prolll the same price

well it's mint.. i know the paint matches and I have a time table to get them? theres too much uncertainty with "finding" mirrors u feel me? I go to Da-Les In sunnyvale.. kinda expensive.. but best I've seen so far.

I thought bout the m3 mirrors but they are kidna small that and I'd have to go longer without mirrors. u dun realize how much u look at those suckers till they're gone

 

for anyone that's taken off their mirrors is the only way to get it off to pull kinda hard on the main peice attached to the door?. There's the harness for the electrical wires tot he mirror but the harness extends beyond the space alloted for it to go out. do u jsut pull till it pops out which also kidna bends the plastic harness back?

 

I would of just gotten the spoon/vision mirrors for that price.

J-town is the worse place to park...i use to always park it in the Miyako Hotel parking. People rarely mess with your car down there
