I want to buy an RSX-s Today
I am waiting to sell my Civic so I can put a DP on an RSX-S. I just test drove on today and I am very impresed to say the least. ( This post is meant for people considering a Type-S)
Interior:
All I can say is WOW. (I am coming from a Civic). It is very upscale and has a luxurious feel to it. My only gripe is the door panels because they feel like hard plastic (unlike my EK wich are vinyl wrapped). The seats a just perfect. Nice lateral support and just right for the American market.
The engine is powerful and the Vtec engagement is loud (i love it). Gobs of low end compared to other 4 cylinder cars. It has a very smooth power band. The tranny is very slick and the 6 speed take some getting used to but over all it has a great feel. The gear ratios really compliments the motors power.
I thought the car handles great and was very balanced (I wish the car was lower though).
Over all I am very impressed with the car and will be buying it as soon as my car sells
I was quoted $22190 before tax ...
I choose the Type-S out of the WRX (drive line problems) & GTI 1.8T (can you say coils packs).
Before i buy i would like to know if there are any know problems with the Type S I should know about. I have searched the whole net and not found a thing (which may be good)

I would love to live near roads like that.
I have owned 2 hatches 2 have been B16 powered a with boost running 12.7 @111 mph and the other 12.8 @ 108 MPH.
I have a b20 in my car now and its a lot of fun but to be honest I have sort of grown out of building a car and my priorities have changed. In the future I hope to buy another hatch and build it up but right now i just want to cruise in style and comfort.
Thanks for th input

i've been searching for my type s also, but make sure you get everything u want. i had a great offer but not the color i want. so i'm holding off on the purchase till i find another good price with the color i want.
i hear that FL has the best prices for the type S. so u could prolly go lower on the price quoted.

True. I test drove an RSX Type-S last Wednesday and then drove the Mazda6s. I'm coming from an AT as my dd and I liked the Acura stick better than the Mazda 'floating' stick. I felt it had larger blind spots than what I'm used to (sedan). I also thought it was more 'raw' a car and more fun to drive.
I liked the Accord couple EX V6 with the A5 *alot* so I'm going to test out the EX 4cyl and with the V6+6speed. I'm kinda biased to the RSX now.

Bah, that's not a "windy road."
Come for a scenic drive around my local roads, and learn what a sporty Honda can really do.
