i have an ls block with a gsr crank, CTR pistons and a p&p head milled .30. i assume my compresion is about 12:1 give or take a few. i got itr cams right now but i plan on running skunk stage2.
do i have enough compression to run those? i know you need to tune them, but i hear stories about these cams not performing well cuz of low compression or other stuff. basicly i just wanna know your thoughts on my setup.
im sure youve heard this question before, but i searched ad didnt find what i was looking for.

Yes u do. I would go with Jun though, I've had both and I would take the Jun 3's over the Skunk 2's

Yeah I had the Skunk stage 2's and they just did'nt give me what the Jun 3's did. The car just did'nt feel as fast.

 

the skunk2's are success, dont let these minons tell you different. 12.1 is friggin high dood. Your cams (no matter what they are) will love you to death for those comp #'s...

 

Are you using the Skunk2 valvetrain as well? What kind of ECU are you using?

Those are nice compression numbers, and dont worry about getting JUN cams over Skunk2. They are almost identical, it's all about tuning.
