Default Will 2-way Alarms w/ Pager work with No Antenna?

I don't have an antenna on my car since it never had a radio. Will a CompuStar 2WFM alarm with pager work if I install it? If not, are there and 2-way alarms that work without an antenna?

no, you need an antenna, otherwise range will suck bad. The Viper 790XV comes with it's own little antenna tuned for the 434 mhz it works at. You might want to look into that setup (or the Viper 690XV which just doesn't have the remote start)

i don't know how those glass mount amp'ed antennas pan out for the pagers, but it might be worth looking into. My guess is the amp isn't bi-directional (why would it be?) and would completely block your out-going page.... might be worth a look though

In case anyone was wondering, I found out that the CompuStar 2-way alarm I was lookin at does come with an antenna that mounts to the windshield. It doesn't hook up to the stock antenna at all from what I was told.
