For those that have converted to JDM frontend through insurance claim...
Is there any difficult/catch with the insurance company? Any things i need to look out for? Any tips/trick would be appreciated too!

That's how I did my JDM conversion, insurance money (my car was vandalized). I took the car to the shop of my choice (which I believe the insurance must let you do), they gave me a quote for the work they would need to do, then the insurance company wrote a check. I guess that it really just depends on what company you're with as to how big of asses they may be. I don't see why it should be any trouble, but don't expect them to pick up the difference in the price between the US and Japanese parts. Make sure you have a knowledgable body shop, for the install as well as dealing with the insurance end of it.

i'm workin' on trying to get a front end conversion also... but insurance people are a bitch to work with. they want to total my car....
the estimate for strictly my front end from my insurance adjuster and body shop came in actually less for the jdm front versus the us front(i dunno don't ask why). i only paid for the deductible and factory oem HID's(difference of $700 compared to halogens)...of course i expect to pay in the long run through insurance coverage rates---insurance is such a scam isn't it? they will get you one way or another...i guess that's how my insurance guy practically lives on the Riviera golf course.
Insurance doesn't need to know ****. THey make their adjuster take a look, and make a decision. Then they cut a check.
For all they care, you can keep your car wrecked, and drive around with it like that. Smoke up the difference of your insurance check.
My friend did a bunch of **** when his Integra got messed up. He got the JDM front w/ Aztec lip, Momo NASCAR seats to replace the stolen front seats, etc. He came out of pocket a little but his car ended up being real nice.

I was just wonder what would happen the next time you need to make an insurance claim after getting the JDM frontend!
I have a JDM front end and I keep wondering what would happen if I needed to make a claim to fix something. The adjuster might take a look at the damaged parts and say to himself WTF. How would they estimate the repair costs of a frontend that doesn't even exist in the US or Canada?
Could the insurance company even go as far as saying they won't pay for any of the damage?

i believe you can claim a jdm front end because its an upgrade and parts are oem honda. as long as you have receipts for everything done to your car....

Blaze is right. So long as you do it right with OEM JDM parts, there isnt a problem, just save the recipts. They are still OEM parts which makes the JDM front such a great scam.
first off...you need to know someone at the shop so they will do it for you....most of the time.."big" auto body shop don't want to do it cause they don't want to risk of doing that, since they are "suppose" to put or fix whatever was damage and nothing else.....
but if you know someone at the auto body....they might be able to help you out in putting a JDM front end

my insurance guy said they will pay to get the car back to US spec. if you want to upgrade then pay the difference BUT keep all receipts to show in case of another accident(it can be any make).
You can do it no problem the body shop cant force you to keep the USDM parts and if they are just worried because they want to use OEM parts then they need not worry since the real conversions are oem parts.
As far as the adjuster checking your car after its fixed all he wil look at is to see if all damage was repaired, you may want to inform them that you have upgraded the parts with better ones, and also keep the reciepts and send a copy to your insurance comp. So you will be covered and have less grief if you have a future accident.
