Default Smokin' Brakes when coming up to a stop?

Are the pads shot? Are the rotors shot? Coming to a stop, it smells like Expo. Smoke comes through the sides of the hood. I popped the hood and nothing else is burning No oil leaks or anything like that. Any ideas?

ok, wat does the smoke look like? cuz when u break in new rotors, it'll burn off that coating they put on at the factory to keep it from rustin and it'll give off a white really faint smoke that will go away pretty soon.

Those pads are plenty broken in after a weekend at Beaver Run. Without taking a look at them, I'm thinking this smoke will go away with some normal colder temp usage. Must be some pad material adhered onto the rotor causing the smoke and the smell.

Are ya sure you did not brake a CV boot and spray oil/ grease on the brakes?

Or maybe you just think your on a track again

All the time does this happen? Or just sometimes. If its all the time and you can smell it coming to a stop, you possibly have a piston thats not releasing all the time.
