Default Type R Subs and Amp not working

Okay, I just hooked.

2 10" Alpine Type R Subs DVC
Alpine MRD M300 Amp

The head unit is a JVC KDS 55.

Checked the battery fuse and all the wires.

However, there we left the remote wire to the deck unattached because it has no connection for it.

Does the remote wire need to be connected to the deck to work

PROBLEM is: There is no power going to the amp and subs do NOT Work.

yup..the remote wire must have 12v to it. there should be a remote wire from the headunit. its a blue wire with small white stripes (usually)

The remote wire is what switches the amp on and off. You can wire the amp to a 12v acc. or a 12v constant to turn it on and off. If you use a 12v constant you will need a switch to turn the amp on and off when you get out of the car.

Does the remote wire part of the wiring harness or is it seperate?

For the life of god, I could not find it on there.

Do I need to solder the wire or should it plug into somewhere?

The remote wire on my RCA cables are 16gauge.

it should be on the wire harness. it doesn't have to be blue/white. it can be other colors too! it can be tapped into the fuse box, but that means your amp will always be on when your car is on.
