Default when i turn the axel has a clicking noise

when i turn the axel has a clicking noise i know that the boot has been gone and i havent replaced it. so now it clicks my friend said he can rebuild it for me. They make high performance ones as i know of what do u guys prefer.....

when mine was clicking it was the tranny mount cauzing the axle to click. i needed a new one...i would just get a new axle if teh boot is goin bad.. they have a lifetime warrenty on them so u dont have to worry about it

I had a similar experience which turned out to be a broken CV Joint. New axle solved the problem completely.

they're not new, but what you get from autozone/pep boys/etc are remanufactured units.

They're great for the price but the quality isnt always up to OE.

When the boot breaks open all the grease comes out. Dirt gets into the CV joint and grinds away at it causing it to go bad. You need a replacement drive axle. Might cost around $100. The non OEM ones are not too bad usually. They are not too hard to replace either. It may still last for months clicking like that as well.

go down to sears they have a lfitime warranty on them...its pretty cheap too i think around 120-130 i dont remember if thats w/ installation or not but it is surely a good deal!

definitely replace cv joint. but make sure it's not a used one that you buy cause it'll just do the same thing agian
