Brakes are toast
My front and rear pads are pretty much gone, and my front rotors are warped(and have already been turned once. I want to do a slight upgrade from the stock brake system so i decided to go with PowerSlot rotors and Axxiz metal master pads. Does this sound like a good enough combo? No one around here carries Powerslot rotors so im ordering them online from inline4.com for($132 for the front and $99 for the back) does that seem like a good price? Everyone seems to agree that Powerslot rotors are the way to go but what about brake pads? should i go with the metal masters, AEM, stock honda, etc etc?? Also, if i put the metal masters on now w/ the warped rotors will it screw up the pad if i drive on it while waiting for the rotors to be shipped???
thanks
Ryan

hey,
jus get yourself some honda OEM ****, theyre good enough to stop youre *** from a car in front of you. no need to spend millions on an brake up grade that wont do much other than help you stop better with less line pressure.

I wouldn't go with Axxis pads. I have only heard bad things about them. One guy had a set catch on fire!!!
Get some Brembo OE blanks. See this post:

1) pretty sure that powerslots aren't made from brembo blanks
2) there is a debate about whether or not slotted/cross drilled rotors help, if any
3) use the search function
4) buy brembo blanks, stainless lines, motul 600 or ford hd fluid, hawk or porterfield pads...

powerslot actually recommends axxiss metalmaster pads for their rotors. i have the exact same setup (powerslot slotted rotors, with axxiss metalmaster pads) and i have no complaints. i use honda brake fluid and i also have goodrich stainless steel brake lines.
i bought mine as a kit (all 4 rotors, full set of brake pads [thats front and rear], and a set of goodrich stainless steel lines) for $499 but that was a good 6 months to a year ago.
you'll be happy with them, but i do recommend some stainless steel brake lines, makes braking much more confident.

Run Motul 600/ATE Super Blue fluid, Brembo blanks and Hawk HP+ pads. All the stopping power you'll ever need on the street and then some. Yes, the HP+ are harder on rotors and they dust pretty badly, but... they pack a mean punch. You will not boil the fluid, you will not overheat the pads, and the blank rotors will not crack like the Powerslots will if you get them really hot.
for street use i wouldnt run that Motul 600, it absorbs water and will corode your brake system. run standard honda brake fluid or maybe something a little less that the Motul 600 and you'll be just fine.
I've had Axxis pads on for around 30K now- I have nothing but good things to say about them.
I'm running Powerslot brakes rotors as well, and they stop the car at least as well as OEM- as far as fade goes, I haven't really pushed them so hard I could tell.
However, on the subject of warping, let me tell you that slots, or drills, or anything else you do to the stock size rotors won't help a bit.
If you want less warping, buy bigger rotors. Period. The OEM rotor size just isn't big enough to deal with the thermal cycling- they heat up (and cool down) too quickly. Increase the thermal mass, and you increase the resistance to warping by a ton.
