Hooked my VAFC in my 2000 gsr.. When Im driving everything will be fine, Vtec will engage exactly wherei set it, car idles perfect and everything.. But sometimes if im crusing or on it the car wont rev past 5k. ex: If im at like 7k in 4th gear it will just drop down to 5 and not be able to accelerate.. I have to turn the car off and turn it back on and everyting will be ok until it happene again.. Anyone ever have this problem before?? I checked all connections everything is ok.. Any ideas or info on what my problem is would be greatly appreciated.. TIA..

Funny you asked that.. I just got off the phone with my friend that works at Acura.. im taking my car there after work to hook it up to the PGM.. Whats code 22 anyway? Thanks..

 

Youre running a CEL arent you? If so, it is indeed 22 - I'll put...hmm. 20 grand on it. Do you know how to jump it yourself? Search for jumping ecu or something.

Did you hook up your VTM wire? Did you install the VAFC with the updated instructions? Did you solder the wires?

The cel is always on bc of my Cat (which garunteed no CEL) so like I said Im going to hook it up to the PGM tester after I get outta work.. I used the VTM wire, and updated instructions, but I did not solder my connections. Do you recomend that I solder?? and once again what would code 22 be?? tia...
