First off, I drive a 2000 Integra GS-R. Everything about my car is legal.. almost. I have an OEM Body Kit, AEM CAI, TT Exhaust, Clear Corners, and No front Liscence plate...

I was driving down a local street on the way to my house, and two cops start pulling out and follow me. Well, I go VERY slow and stay under the speed limit the WHOLE time...

I could tell they wanted to pull me over and give me a ticket, but since I wasn't doin anything wrong, they couldn't. Anyways, about 5 minutes or so, she puts on her siren and tells me to pull over.

So I pull over, and two lady biatch cops come up to me and ask me for my liscence, proof of insurance, etc.

She also asks me if I ever went to jail and all that other shiat...

To make the long story short, since everything was legal, she was looking for something to give me ANY kind of ticket. So she writes up TWO FINES for my Clear corners, and no front liscence plate.

Notice I said FINES, and not Fix-it Ticket. They're gonna bill me, and now I'm really pissed. I will get another point on my record, and my freakin insurance is gonna boost up AGAIN!!!

So that night, I put on my liscence plate and changed my bulbs back to Amber. My car is lookin like a stock teg more and more... sigh*

godamn cops... Had to vent.

 

taht really sucks, can you appeal these fines?

 

She said I have two choices.

1. To fight it in court
2. To pay the fine

For the choice 1, I know i'd lose. Those are illegal, but the only thing that I can fight for is to make that fine into a Fix-it instead.


Damn... There are SOOOO many cops around all of a sudden. I swear its cuz of The Fast and the Furious.

When I watched it the opening night, there were 15 cops at the Theatres. Two followed me all the way home until I closed my garage. They thought I was goin to the races...

This summer is gonna be PACKED with cops. I suggest everyone Put their stock or OEM stuff back on their cars. They'll pull you over for the SLIGHTEST things... Not worth the consequences...

******* cops have nothing better to do sometimes.. i'd take it to court and at least get the damn clears taken off.. if you have amber bulbs in them you should be fine!!!

Are you sure that your insurance will go up. I didn't think those were moving violations, you need to switch if it does. Cause your coverage is not more risky because you have clear corners and no front plate

First off you won't get any points whether you pay the fine or fight it in court. Here is what to do:
1) Look at your clear corners, they should say D.O.T, if they have this marking they are *LEGAL*, and the court *MUST* throw out the ticket
2) For your second, look at the time your ticket was issued i.e-9:30 pm, then tell the judge your plate had fallen off 9:15 and you were on your way home to fix it.

This ticket is nothing to worry about, also if these same cops pull you over again you can file a complaint of harassment, after that those two will avoid you like the plague. When your in front of the Judge I look to say this: "You know Judge, I am a good person, I have never been involved in anything. I work 50hrs a week and very hard for my money. When my taxes get taken out, a percentage of that goes to pay law enforcement. With all the crime we have in our city it upsets me that the priorities of Police are to go after a car with no front plate, when it could be fighting drug abuse, prostitution and more serious crimes" Works everytime

Thats pretty crappy man. I really hate cops for reasons such as that. Is it illegal in CA to not have a front license plate? Luckily for me, in NC you only need a rear plate. Just one of the many benefits from living in the redneck region of the country

 

From what I have heard, a police officer has to have a reason to pull you over. They cannot just pull you over b/c they feel like it. Whenever I get pulled over I always ask why before I give my license and registration. If they have no reason, they I wouldn't give them either of those and ask them to call their superior on the radio...

So I would go to court and fight it. It sounds like some bored cops with nothing better to do. ****, there were even 2 of them!!!

 

sorry to hear about that. Why would you ride around with no front license plate though? I'm sure there's a law for it (theres a law it seems for anything). If I were you, get rid of the clears and put the License plate on and take pictures of you fixing it and take them to court with you. Maybe you'll get lucky and get off. Just go in there with a cool head.

Everybody around here are starting to get pulled over now for no front license plate. I've been meaning to put mine back on, but, I can't remember where I put that damn bracket that holds the plate.

 

I had the Hyper White bulbs, but I changed them back to Amber. I also got my front liscence plate on now.

I'm very relieved to hear that I won't be getting a point on my record. I'm going to try to fight it. At least to make it a Fix it, instead of a stupid fine.

My friend is a Cop around where I live, and he heard his Superior and everyone else, order Police Officers to pull over EVERY Import cars that are somewhat fixed-up, and give them a ticket for whatever reason. They said they are willing to take up Law suits or whatever...

The other day, I saw some guy in an Eclipse filling up gas at a gas station, and a Cop comes rolling in and just gives him a ticket! I don't know what for, but I think that is so F*&Ked up.

PO PO's now a days, are so strict and stupid...
