I was on my way to work this morning when my clutch pedal made a pop noise and from then on, it has been very hard to shift the car into gear. Reverse grinds every time I try and to go into any other gear I have to push really hard on the shift ****. Oh, and the clutch pedal feels like it sits further back now than it used to. Any help would be much appreciated.

No, it really doesn't feel like that to me but the only other manual trans. car I've owned was a Nissan. On that car when the clutch went out, the car just wouldn't get any power. I could shift into gears just fine, i just couldnt go anywhere.
On this car though (crx) I literally can barely get the car into gear... i have to slam it.

 

have you adjusted your clutch at all? cause my crx has to have the clutch adjusted all the time due to vibration

 

I havn't adjusted the clutch. Wouldn't think that would be the problem because I bought this car about 2 months ago and have not had any problems with the clutch. Then all of a sudden... this.
