Default 03' Ninja ZX6R vs. 03' Ninja ZX6RR

i was looking at both of these bikes.

What do you think of them in comparison to each other, and in comparison to the 600RR or the Yamaha R6?

im not sure if there are any more legal ZX6RR out there left (dont quote me on this). wasnt the legal ZX6RR limited? The track ones prob still exist.

i just love the fact that Kawasaki uses inverted forks on lots of their bikes. (even my 50cc and 80cc has inverted). i havent got the chance to ride it yet, so i wouldnt know about how good it is.

mags are great reading on the crapper. I rode the 03 r6 and the 636. I like the r6 more overall. Too bad I have a 6r eh? Don't get me wrong, the 636 felt great but something didn't quite add up. Guess I never got the suspension dialed in. The r6 felt like a good pair of pants fresh out of the dryer. Course the rider was about my size so maybe that had a bit to do.

I haven't ridden the R6, but they are sexy tho.

to the ?. RR is limited and is built w/ the race in mind. 6R has 37 more cc's.

Honestly from what I saw, the engines and choice of color were the only things differnt according to the spec sheets at my local Kawi dealer. 599cc (67.0x42.5) vs 636cc (68.0x43.8), 13:1 vs 12.8:1 was about it. Identical rake/trail, suspension type, wheel travel f/r, tires, brakes, length, width, height, ground clearance, seat height, dry weight, fuel cap., wheelbase etc... Now maybe some of the parts used may be differn't, but to me it seems to be more of a memorabilia <sp?> item then anything else similar to that of the Telefonica Movistar GSXR600 or Erion Racing CBR929RR. It does boast a more race preped engine though. I have had the chance to ride the 636, but not the ZX6RR yet. There is one at my local dealship that had a sold sign on it since the day it got there, although it has been there for over a month so we will see what happens to it.

Get the zx6r...I'd rather have the displacement than the slipper clutch and the adjustability.

I agree on the motor aspect. My friend races a 636 and loves it.

with like 250 miles on it, he dyno'd it and it put down 105.X hp. Grabbed a slip on off the shelf, slapped in on and ran it again... 109.X hp. No remap done. But needless to say, the motor makes some great power.

My biggest love of the bike is the radial mount brakes that are like dropping anchors off the back for stopping. and the suspension you have to take out compression and dampning for it to work well.

my biggest bitch is the wimpy *** looking swingarm.

Me personally I'm a Yamaha fan. I love my R6's.
