The Mugen and Spoon baffled pans are only necessary if you subject your car to high G turns at a track or autocross - otherwise they are a waste of $. Both are made of good quality materials and have good workmanship.
The Mugen bushings are made of a harder rubber. A lot of them you will need tools to replace. Energy makes similar pieces out of polyurethane at a much cheaper price.

I was going to say the same thing, Well said BPR.
Are you having trouble deciding on what to get?

One thing i would like to add is that the Mugen oil pan is a modified stock pan. The baffles that are welded in are beautiful and i am glad i got the Mugen over the Spoon from the looks of both. I am satisfied with it thus far.

wouldn't baffled oil pan have downsides for street driving.
how i see upgrades/replacement parts:
1. its an improvement, cause oem didn't want to spend that much money, whether during production, or to decide on recall.
2. you sacrifice comfort, but gain performance over oem.
3. its an offroad/racing item that will function best during racing, and not so good for street driving.
4. they missed something - (example: master cylinder brace? - seems to be 100% improvement). but i doubt about oil pan.. can't think of a reason they didn't offer baffled oil pan.

i autox quite a bit and run 6-8 hpde per year so the oilpan would be insurance

I got an stock P72 oil pan to modify, it's much cheaper and work nearly same. I'll try to take some photo and post it up.
If you're hill climbers, you need the baffled pans to protect the engine.
I had installed Mugen lower arm bush, I like them.

Hehe, true.
Honda didn't include a baffled oil pan on the car because they are not necessary for a street driven car. Why would they increase their production costs un-neccesarily.

yes, i should preface this by saying i won the $800 gift certificate to king motorsports at the expo3. i'm really trying to decide between:
- bushings + oilpan
- toda flywheel + ats final drive + $500
- lowdowns + $750
- mugen exhaust + $250
i really want the lowdowns, but i don't have the money. it's starting to look like the exhaust and a jdm 4-1 header down the road.

Actually, I think Mugen intentionally engineers that feature into all of their parts for weight-reduction purposes.
