Default is this sound right ?

ok i bought my car brand new about 2 years ago.
after couple month i had aem CAI then mugen header, after that i went turbo, but now i have everything back to stock except a VAFC. was driving my car today and when i hit the vtec my car is sooooo quiet(just a bit louder). makes me feel there is no vtec at all.
i cant remember how it was when i had my car in the first time. so is the stock R really quiet when vtec engage?

also does vafc really works on 2001 R ? some people told me it doesnt work obd2 sensors, can anyone confirm that ?

I remember my VTEC switch over being BARELY noticeable when stock. And i properly instaled VAFC will work on a 2001 R.
