Wheel wobbles a lot!!!
okay, so i throw my new hx wheels on my hatch. i drove about 1 mile to work and then on the way home later that day i noticed the steering wheel was moving from left to right pretty significantly. so i go home, check the lug nuts, they're all fine, then i throw the rotas back on and drive around the block but i can still stick my head out the window and see the wheel wobble like it's held on with 1 lug nut!!
I tightened the axle nuts and everything still does it. so i jack up the car and spin the wheel, it's really bad, if i visually line up the edge of the tire with a point on the ground and then spin it, that point moves about 1 inch!!!! Then i noticed that the brake line had a hole in it! I think that this might have all started after a hard breaking on saturday night around a fast corner. What should i change first?(other than the obvious brake line) I'm thinking rotor's and pads. any input or similar stories, or even words of motivation. My turbo kit is supposed to be on by friday night and this is going to postpone that if i don't fix it.!

I was thinking wheel bearings too. check for play
I also noticed you put on hx rims then rotas. the hx rims use acorn lugs, your rotas prolly use conical/tapered lugs. if you used the same lugnuts then that's prolly why they backed out and you were on 1 lug.

yep. also check to see if ur hub is still good.
if u can move it in and out=bad
but since u said that it wobbles it may possibly be ur wheel bearing.
mine was doing the same thing and i though it was my wheel bearing, but it turned out too be my hub, wheel bearing, and my upper a-arm on passenger side. if anybody has any of those parts that they wanna get rid of that r still good could u please send me a PM. good luck on finding out what it is.

He said it LOOKED like it was held on by 1 lug not that only 1 was actually holding it on.
I was thinking the same thing wheel bearing I would jack it up grab onto the top and bottom of your tire and see if you can move it in and out. It could also be one of the other bushings as well too though but first guess without seeing it wheel bearing.

I just wen through replaceng a wheel bearing and hub. The inner race was completely gone from the bearing and the hub was ate up very bad as well.
Put the car up on jack stands and try to wiggle the wheel. If it wiggles then it's probably the wheel bearing and the hub may need replacing as well.
I took my spindle and new bearing to a machine shop to be pressed in only to find out that the hub was gone too. I ended up buying a complete spindle form a junkyard. It had a bad bearing from sitting for so long but the hub was just fine.

I know it's not the wheel bearing, i had that go out about 3 months ago and this isn't the same at all. not a vibration but more of a true wobble and feeling of a really unbalance or unseated wheel. I guess i'll try the rotors first.
