I have a 91 dx hatch, a guy is selling his 91 dx for a $1000. But, the thing is, he doesn't know that it's not a dx, but an si. it has the si seats, tach, and sunroof. I haven't told him what he really had on his hands. Presently I'm laid-off. Would you buy it and sell yours or resale his?

 

you might want to run the VIN to make sure it is an SI.

After you make SURE that it's an si...i'd say sell yours and buy his...but what condition is his car in? But for sure buy his if it's an si. Then you don't hafta deal w/that dpfi to mpfi intake manifold swap anymore if you plan on swapping the motor out, and the stock D16a6 is a nice engine to start out w/too. I'm pretty sure if it's got a sunroof that it's an si...check out the engine for the intake manifold too. Good luck!

 

yeah, I'm going to look at the engine code this weekend and vin number, and take some pix of the car. The car burns oil, he puts in like two quarts every two weeks, about the same for my car, a quart a week. the only body damge is in the left front fender and left corner light.

 

burning oil doesn't matter if you're swapping the engine anyway! Go for it man, an Si for DX $ is a good deal!
