What do you guys think?
I have a mostly stock, except ram air, 99 GS. My friend has a 97 GS w/CAI and full catback exhaust. He wants to race. Would taking off my muffler help? What do you guys think?
taking off your muffler would be almost the same advantage as his catback (depending on his diameter and brand, ect). there is also a lot of small **** you can do to pull out some extra hp if you want to go through the time, like lossing some weight by pullin out extra seats and pritty much anythign that cam come out easily. also detatching your powersteering pump is always good for a few extra ponies in a cluth...

its all in the driver. pull a good 0-60ft, you'll get him. no use taking out seat or muffler. waste of time. there's no dramatic changes if you did all that especially for a friendly race.
