D series nuts gotta problem 4 ya
i sold my freind a gsr TB and he is having problems with the throttle response it is horrible he says. he's complaining and crying about it and he cant seem to get ir running correctly. first i should point out he is not that good at hooking anything up liek the first time he had a gst it took him 3 hours to install a BOV. the intake manifold is not portmatched to the TB and he said it seemed like his throttle cable was wasnt fitting in right? any ideas on what is wrong with the car???? btw its a 94 hatchback with a ported and polished head (dx motor) and I/H/E the motor originally had nitrous on it and the selinoid is still on the car i dunt really think it would make a dif but could it???? any info would be a great help
thanks

so he has a d series engine and you sold him a gsr throttle body?
so d engine and manifold....gsr body?
umm d with d and b with b are a really good rule of thumb...
does it even fit right?

Seriously, some guys wants to sell me an accord TB, but why would you switch form stock TB to stock TB anyways? Doesn't make sense

swapping to a gsr tb is fine on a d series, it is larger 60 mm compared to like 56mm, and should hook up straight, it should be port matched first, and will give wayyy better throttle resp...it's prolly bottlenecking the way it is now...look in sig below, spade detailed why this is a good upgrade...

B series throttle bodies on D series are pretty good, cheap and easy bolt on to do. You won't find many things that are easy, cheap and yeild such a good performance gain. I would guess that he didn't adjus the throttle cable, which would explain the bad response.

b/h-series throttle bodies bolt right up to a z6 or y8 intake manifold. I know this becuase I have a gsr tb and y8 im right in front of me. As for why switch from stock to stock, stock d-series is 56mm, stock b-series is 60mm. I got my gsr tb for $36 shipped. Try comparing that to the cost of an aftermarket tb (usually $250+). Doesn't take a genius to figure this one out.

Yeah the stock upgrade is the best. Bigger, cheaper.
Where did you find it for $36 shipped though, that is a good price.

ebay and patience my friend
I got a gsr tb without sensors. Then bought a civic dx tb w/sensors for dirt cheap and put the sensors on the gsr tb.
