Anyone know of any free mods to do to an EP3???
Hi, and welcome to the family.
For free, you can tighten the throttle cable slack.
Using a 10mm socket, take the plastic i-VTEC cover off (do this while the engine is cold, or you might not get the bolts back in) There are two cables there, The one on the black spool is the cruise-control, leave it alone. The other one on the Gold spool is the throttle (its the one farthest back toward the rear of the car). It can be tightened the way you would tighten a brake cable on a 10-speed bike, just to where its firmer, leave a 1/8" of play or so.
Then put the cover back on. The gas pedal will feel peppier.
The other free Mod is the Hondata Airbox mod here: http://www.hondata.com/kseriesairboxmod.html It's not for the novice, but its free, so think about it later on.
Just try not to redline it before 500 miles, and top off the oil every two weeks as needed...sources say that Honda oil is Penzoil 5-20.

This isnt really free, but try comparing the mileage and 0-60 times on a tank of 87 vs a tank of 93 octane
Did you know theres a secret compartment beneath the cup holders?
Theres a hidden cupholder on the left side of the steering wheel, too.
Theres a nifty hanger for the gas cap on the little gas cap door.
Theres a recessed handle on the inside of the hatch for grabbing to close the hatch.
... getting to knoooowww yoouuu....
have fun and be safe!

My words of caution about the airbox mod:
"dont let bits of crud or dirt or bugs or lint or boogers get down into the rubber elbow shaped tube that leads down to the throttle body and into your engine, or in the little gray rubber pcv thing either (which is a bitch to get off)"
Be clean, take your time (at least half a day to wrestle it out, finish it off, and wrestle it back in)

Take out power steering. If u want just take the belt off, noticeable difference; and if u don't like the no power steering feel just slap the belt back on. I did it and haven't put it back on.

BWAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!
heheh, hooooo, um. sigh.
Just to clarify: The EP has an electric power steering system (EPS). No belts, no parasitic loss. See also S2000, see also NSX. I posted a link here with pictures/diagrams about a month or two ago if you want to know more.
