That Z06 he was driving was bone stock everything besides the wheels/tires. Just wait until it gets setup.

I've known him since the late '80s when I was in my autocrossing prime (what limited level that was) and he was just starting. At first he was a wild kid in an old Vette who spun quite a bit but he really developed excellent car control. He always puts on a good show as it is amazing that he can slide a Corvette sideways through a cone gate that you'd swear the would barely fit straight through. Plus he is a nice guy to boot.

If you can run with his times and you know that he wasn't eating a sandwich while driving, you can rightfully feel like you have accomplished something on the day.
