i know its a lovefab but i didn't see and couldn't tell if he's still using the internal wastegate. i see spike sometimes up to 33 lbs and then eases to 27 and its all because of my shitty internal wastegate. it has nothing to do with my exhaust manifold.

Re: (BG Boost)
Whoa, cool. That vid was taken around Robs new house(revhardracing). I needed an oil pan from him, and we ended up making a video while I was out there
Heres a a pic of the BOV:
Stock turbo so far(not for long), and its not "spike", its usually pretty solid at around 17 psi. The stock computer tries to control boost, so it dumps timing to accomplish this.
Stage 1 upgrade likes more boost, so I will be getting stage 1 sometime soon.
Oh ya, have you seen the new Autometer Uego A/F guage/controllers? That will probably come first, its a sweet unit!
As for me making loads of cash, ya right. I live at home still, and this is my only payment. Part of the reason I bought the car is because of the revenue possible from it. As soon as the new shop is done, I think the products for the SRT4 will pretty much pay for the car.

Re: (psi420)
damnit, its not a spike! it would stay up there if the computer wouldnt retard the timing to try and limit boost.
Before I ditched the cat, it would stay up there, where I have the boost controller set, but the computer retards timing to keep the boost down.
Again, the stage 1 computer will like the boost up there, and keep it where I have the BC set at.

hehe, wasnt upset, just wish yall would read a lil closer
its called lack of traction. 2nd gear is kindof a joke. I was modulating the throttle throughout, otherwise itll just slow down and start roasting tires.

Re: (revhardracing)
I thought this was an interesting reply on another forum, heh.
"**** the car, look at the scenery, I pray to God that one day I live in a house where I can pull out of my driveway and just punch it. Test and tune all day long, worry free of police, *sigh* nothing like that anywhere near where I live."

For some reason I doubt the ECU only changes timing to regulate boost, im sure there is some type of stock boost controller, i know this is how it is for the VW's.
Retarding ignition timing will actually create more load on the motor (just like a two-step creates boost, it dumps fuel/retards ignition), not lower boost, unless the ignition actually cuts out....which isnt the case.
And yes, its Surging....

Well, I undid all the factory boost control selenoids, and am running off true boost/vaccum. The factory wastegate has a 5lb spring, so it might be dropping off because the boost controller is fighting too hard to keep it at the 17 psi. I dont know if its timing or what, but if you listen to the engine note, and watch the boost guage, you will hear the engine note change dramatically.
In any case itll all go bubye when I put the new turbo/manifold/exhaust setup on.
So far Ive done trivial stuff because of time issues:
lowered it
cat-delete
CAI extension
mbc
Um..I think thats it.
oh ya, and a real BOV.
