Brake light on gauge cluster came on, but only for a little while..?
On the way back from expo, cruising down I-70, the little BRAKE light just randomly came on. We stopped, I fiddled with the cap, pumped the brakes and played with the ebrake and it turned off. It then came on again about 20 minutes later, about 2 minutes from my house. I just cruised home, figuring another brake fluid resivoir cap had bit the dust. It has yet to come back on though.
I know I lit up the brakes pretty hard this weekend, especially the fronts. Could this be related? The fluid is at the proper level, are there any other reasons this light would come on?

My brake light has been on since the first session at the Expo. Fluid level is fine. Cap is on tight.
I'm hoping it's that cap recall/problem I read about awhile back. Going to stop by the dealership tomorrow to get it replaced.

yeah, as it was when I checked it that night on the side of the road.. I just don't get how it would be on then, and not be coming back on..
the light has yet to come back on since the two times on the trip back from the expo.. anyone got any ideas?
Yes, this is a VERY common thing for integra owners. I have had the same thing in my GSR and my ITR. Get this... it comes on when I accelerate quickly or when the air was a little cool the night before...
Its nothing to worry about, it has nothing to do with the car having a problem. I brought both cars to acura and all they do is adjust the E-brake, and the light always comes on again the next day.
No sweat man!

I think my brake light problem is the e-brake. Just checked my car last night and I just left the car in gear without using the e-brake. No brake light at the next start up.
I'm going to adjust it this weekend to see if this clears things up.

This problem usually turns out to be either insufficient fluid or the faulty cap. If your fluid is fine, my money is on the cap.

yeah, i've had this happen once, but the light came on fairly frequently - as opposed to only the 2 times during that drive this time.. I replaced that faulty cap in October, so I would HOPE it wasn't faulty again..
