LS Tranny Parts Will Not Work For S1 Tranny!!!!!

i have (had) a 91 s1 tranny, and thought the sychro and gear set was bad, i.e. 3rd gear, and so ordered replacement parts for 91 LS tranny for the same year and they DO NOT FIT!

This was as per info on this board that these could be used - that is not so!!!!

how much of a difference is there, between the parts? i also heard that 88-91 civic/crx 3&4 gear synchros work on the JDM s1. can you post a picture of your findings? this will shed some light to this subject!

don't have picture capability, but ordered the correct part from acuraautomotive in order to do rebuild 91 s1 tranny - this was the 3rd gear & synchronizer set which in no way fit.

i can not report on the crx gears/synchronizers

tidbit: basically the tranny is a throwaway because of all the other damage to other synchros and gears

anybody have a fresh cable s1 or cable ys1 or 92 GSR (USDM)?
