my battery light came on and i have no idea why its on? i have a auto meter volts guaged in my car and its reading that i'm getting power??? i also checked all my fuses and connections. i thought i'd check with the ef homies before i start taking things aparts or even taking my car to the dealership... thanks for your help!!!

 

check your alternator.that is what went bad on my car when the battery light came on.

 

your alternator is about to die. the battery light is more of an indicator of the alternator than the battery.

 

Check the belt first to see if its tight or possibly damaged.
