here is the issue, i open the hood, but cannot close the thing, someone suggested me on getting a new or used latch in good condition. What should or can i do?

same problem here...what you do is look at the latch on the VERY front and there should be a small, square shaped hole, just stick a pointy object in there (like a screwdriver that will fit in it) and push to the right, the latch is just a little rusty and getting stuck....that's my problem, and if it's not yours, then oops my bad good luck
