Default How do I take off the grill from the speakers in the back of my car?

How do I take off the grill from the speakers in the back of my car? I need to know how to remove the plastic grill from the top that covers the speakers. Also how do i remove the speakers from the back. I know that there is 4 white pins that have screws in them. Do I just remove the screws after I figure out how to take the plastic grill off from the top of the speakers? I need to know. I just got a pair of Sony Xplods 6x9's 240 Watt for $20. So any help would be nice....

I would reccomend letting a pro handle this one. The entire rear deck needs to be removed in order to get your rear speakers out. In order to get the rear deck out though you have to remove the panels around the rear window and parts of the back seat as well. The problem is those grills are part of the rear deck so they WONT come out on thier own. There are shortcuts to getting the deck out without removing all the other parts but unless you've done it before you run the risk of cracking / breaking / scratching the hell out of your panels. I would take it to a local shop and let one of us stereo mokeys do it for ya. If you've already got the speakers you shouldn't have to pay more than $35 to have someone else go through all that trouble for ya. Plus, you won't get your panels all fuggered up.

It's pretty tough if you haven't done it before. The first couple of those I did took me forever to do. Once I got better at them I learned the shortcuts. Even then they are still tough. The reason I recommend taking it to a shop is because it's very likely to scratch or break the panels if you're not sure how they come apart. For $35, it's worth not tearing up the back end of your car over a couple speakers.
