Not like any of y'all care
I had a blast. In case you didn't hear from me personally, a thank you goes to the we-todds and philly crew at the camping grounds.
The NoVa and MD cr3w united at FSK Mall. The whole event didn't hit home till I saw the NoVa cr3w arriving. You could peek through the parking lot onto the main road, and that's where I saw CW ITR after CW ITR pulling in. Absolutely insane sight!
The ride up was awesome, I can't wait to see footage of us owning the Turnpike. We had those with radar detectors up front and so they'd alert of us any popo ahead. Fortunately there was only one...we all bottlenecked a bit.
We also passed the state police headquarters but no one warned anyone about it, all I remember hearing over the radio was "oh ****, I just did 120 flying by the police headquarters!" I'm sure it was a site seeing all the R's riding so fast and about 15 feet away from eachother in the rain
If I could tell three things from the whole experience it is this...the GS-R brakes, stock suspension (duh!), and tires are severely lacking...I'm trying to burn through these as quick as possible.

Camping was sweet. Despite my shorts the fire provided much needed warmth and my mummy sleeping bag provided the rest. Big gay Al's provided the food and gas. I primarily hung around and took a few pics...and got sun burned
The philly crew knows how to launch a coke can from the fire
It was awesome seeing all the various sponsors and the like. (won some SuperBlue at the raffle!) The King car was insane, the spoon mobile a great technical reference (I've always wanted to see their catch can setup, grounding, mc brace (cusco), etc.). I took some high res shots of the Spoon mobile's underbody and engine bay that are wonderful reference pieces. To top it off I got a ride in George's car. Dave of SMSP made sure I was strapped in tight! Suffice to say I was sure glad I was
George's EVO2's with 5pt harnesses were awesome...I will be looking into that exact setup sometime down the road (like years at this rate). I think his spring rates were a little on the soft side still but that's just me...the car stuck nicely. The only thing I really wished I could have done was meet more people in person!
Ride home with dcr320 (Paul), Smitdog (Steve), and Misfit (Josh) went great. I buzzed a rest stop (was lagging behind) and blew by another R owner filling up...doh! Also the alleghany tunnel was insane (both ways). Vtec in the tunnel is hands down the best sound I've ever heard in my life. The only minor event was a MD State Trooper...thankfully Misfit radioed me and let me know of the impending doom
....I think the cop saw Josh radio because when I grabbed mine and hit the brakes the guy just looked at me and grinned.
I'm back to school work and homework. I'm hoping to get through all of this crap..err school and then get a job so I can afford an R and track time in a few years.
A big thank you goes out to everyone...every person I met was very nice.

Cool pics man. Glad you had a good time. It was nice meeting you, I was the blond kid with a CW R from VA. I'm determined to save all the Expo pic to my harddrive and sort through them later. -Ryan

Nice pic's, everytime I looked at your car, I thought about how much I missed mine, and hearing VTEC in the tunnels really made me miss it even more!
Argh...I wanted to meet you Tweak but didn't, sorry. One GSR owner to another...I did see your car though, can't miss those SSBP
Sup Tweak, yah i know the VA crew arriving to meet up with you MD peeps was a nice site. We were actually missing 2-3 R's that couldn't make the trip. Great pics though and yah the caravan through PA turnpike was fun.
Thanks for coordinating the meet in Frederick, I'm glad we could make it out the back way at the mall
