how to get first gen b16a up to par with 2nd gen b16

Default how to get first gen b16a up to par with 2nd gen b16

well im wondering what it would take to get a first gen b16 motor up to par with a 2nd gen b16 motor, like what parts are better from the 2nd gen? are the cams better? the intake manifold things like that, thanks alot for any help

As far as I know, It's mainly the cams. I've heard that they have a better oiling system too, though I can't verify that.

anyone else know anything, i have access to many stock b series parts, well basically anything but R parts, so any parts from the newer b16's or gsr's that would make this motor run stronger

The extra power mainly comes from the extra compression, cams, and throttle body. The 2nd gen also utilizes a lot more billet parts, like the fuel rail and oil spray bars (cam).
