I have not test drove the car so I can't say much about performance. As much as I dislike the look of the Subaru WRX/STI, i think it looks a lot better than the Evo. The Evo looks just like the suped up Lancer, small with a big a$$ wing.

MSRP was priced at $31K, plus 9K dealer markup. #@$#, that is $40K!!!

It is ITR related because the Evo rolled all the R's in intermediate 1 all weekend.

That thing was very fast. Very impressive.

i got the chance to look , and sit ....and start one up at TMS this weekend ...nice looking car ....love the intercooler ...

dislike very much the altezza's ...but after talking to a salesman out there ....he said they should interchange with the base lancer ...so i'm happy about that ...

even though ..he asked why would i want to do that .. my reply : cause there butt ugly ...

awesome brakes ....nice rubbers ....should make for a very capable track car

FYI the tail lights for the base model Lancer DO NOT fit the EVO 8. Only all red tails available for the EVO 8 right now are the EVO 7 tails.

most certainly did.. had a cool little woosh to it when it went by too..

i must say, with the exception of the taillights, I was impressed with this car.. I think I would still go for the STi over it though..

 

FYI, cheezeman (sp?) ownz that Evo...that thing is incredible from the factory...it's got it all.... rubber, seats, brakes, etc, etc...

He said he got it for UNDER MSRP...which means he's one saavy shopper

 

i really disagree with you, this weekend my friend's friend just got one, the guy also has a 11sec talon...when he was driving that thing it was ******* balling like crazy, AWD launch is ******* crazy, no wheel spin. of course i would take the STI over it and would not pay 40gs for it...but if you can get it down to like the mid 30s then its so much car for that money. The interrior with the recaros are badass, and the car itself is just badass. also the guy already ran 13.2 at the track STOCK, and other sites people are already running 13.1 stock...this is not a car to be under estimated or even knocked on. i didn't think it looked good until i actually saw it in real life. He was ******* taking turns at like 70 miles per hour, that **** can handle... give the car a big thumbs up!
