Hey all,

Just a thought! I had an idea for a cheap easy-to-make strong manifold. I know the DSM manifold won't fit. But I'm assuming the exhaust ports on the DSM's are about the same distance apart as on the B18's. So, I was thinking, can't I just cut the head flange off the dsm manifold and weld on a b18 flange? Anyone had experience with this? Thanks.

 

I know this isnt what you are looking for but I heard of them being used on f22's.

are you the guy from g2ic who asked this question? If so i already told u, it wont work, i tried. it will leak (cuz the ports are too far off) and wont seal for ****.

 

No I'm not that guy . But thanks for info. BTW, did you weld on the right head flange for your engine or did you just bolt it up unmodified?
Oh and I thought it would be more reliable since it's a stock turbo mani...

 

first i redriled the holes, leaked like a ****. Then i welded a b-series flange on it, and the weld broke soon after (cast iron welding is a bitch).

 

Harsh. Seems like i'm sticking with my custom stainless manifold I'm trying to put together then . I'm sure I'll get better fit and performance anyways...
