I suggest a 50x4 amp. Don't trust the head units ratings. I am sure it is not close. How much do you want to spend? The JL 300/4 is 75x4 and around 500. Arc has nice amps.

I have that exact same setup and am running ~75W per channel to them from a Soundstream amp. It screams. The speakers will distort at high levels unless you have your crossovers set right. Provided everything is setup right, they will sound awesome.

I run MB Quart reference 6.5" 2 ways front and rear powered by a Hifonics Olympus series VIII 4 channel amp. So I have 110 watts per channel. It's a good setup for those speakers.

You can find a Precision Power amp on ebay if you look around; I think that'd sound good as well. Soundstream is a good choice too. Perhaps a Nakamichi or Phoenix Gold... I'd like to try all of those.

I think it's best to stay away from cheap amps for mids and highs, they are just not hi-fi.

i know the feeling i have MB Quart RSC 216 6x5's in the front and ARC kar 265's 6x5's in the back pushed by a ARC 400.4 and damn the MB's can get really crisp, sometimes a lil too crisp. im thinking about swapping the fronts to the back and have the ARC's up front.
